SEAN BENTON - Chairman NSCDA
Chairman of Our Lady’s Hospice and Care Services, Harold’s Cross; Chairman of the Education and Finance Board; Director of Glenbeigh Holdings; former Chairman of Office of Public Works (OPW); previously a Commissioner of the OPW; former Director of Finance, Department of Health.

  Caroline Murphy   CAROLINE MURPHY
Journalist and Organisational Psychologist with many years’ experience in sports broadcasting covering major national & international sporting events.  Particular interest in the psychology of performance and is NSCDA representative on the High Performance Committee of the Irish Institute of Sport.
           
  ATKINS   KINGSLEY AIKINS
Founder and Director of Networking Matters and of his own consultancy firm.  Former President and CEO of the Ireland Funds worldwide.  Particular experience and expertise in recruiting funding support from the Irish diaspora.  Played rugby for Trinity College, Irish Universities, Leinster and  Vichy (France). Keen interest in all sports.
  BUCKLEY   MAEVE BUCKLEY
Founder and Director of Line Up, a sports marketing agency.  Previously CEO of Platinum One.  Has worked with some of the world’s iconic sports brands.  Keen interest in all sports.
           
  DOONEY   ROY DOONEY
Communications consultant by profession.  Member of the National Sports Strategy Group 1995-1997;  Former Commissioner of the Eircom League, FAI; Former international athlete who represented Ireland at Marathon, Road and Cross-Country championships at European and World levels.  Communications advisor to the Great Ireland Run. Chairman of the NSCDA Operations Company Ltd.

NOLLAIG CROWLEY
Professionally qualified as a Nurse, as a Clinical Co-Ordinator and as a Project Manager respectively. Currently employed at the Mater Private Hospital.  Active personal interest in Cycling and Running.

           
  GREENE   MICHAEL GREENE
Civil Engineer by profession. Distinguished career in major infrastructural works including the Luas scheme and the highly- acclaimed Aviva Stadium project at Lansdowne Road. Keen interest in all sports, especially Gaelic Games. Chairman of Audit, Finance & Risk Committee.
  sara   SARAH O'CONNOR
Chief Executive of the Federation of Irish Sports.  A solicitor by profession.  Established “Just Sport Ireland” – an independent dispute resolution service.  Co-ordinated and directed “Why Irish Sport Matters” campaign in the run-up to recent Government budgets.  Active interest in all sports, especially Hockey.
           
    JOHN TIERNEY
Chief Executive of Irish Water. Previously Dublin City Manager; previously Manager of Dublin City Council, Fingal County Council and Galway City Corporation respectively.  Active involvement in  Westmanstown Golf Club and  Tipperary GAA.  Keen supporter of Rugby and Soccer also.

Currently employed as a Secretarial Assistant in the House of the Oireachtas. Completed Sports and Leisure PLC in Coláiste Ide. Plays Soccer and GAA for local Ballymun clubs. Previously managed Bohemians Schoolboys club. Keen interest in all sports especially Soccer and GAA

DONAL ÓG CUSACK
An Engineer by profession with DePuy Johnson and Johnson. Former Cork Hurling goalkeeper and winner of several All-Ireland medals and All-Star Awards. Media pundit and Chairman of the Gaelic Players Association.

         
     

CLAIRE GIBBONS-MCCARTHY
Holds a BSC in Exercise Physiology. Represented Ireland in the 2011 European Cross Country championships and placed 2nd in the 2013 Dublin City Marathon. Will be aiming towards competing in the marathon at the Rio Olympics. Apart from athletics, has a keen interest in all sports

    DAVID CONWAY
Chief Executive Officer , National Sports Campus Development Authority.  Involved in the Abbotstown project since 2001. A former Physical Education teacher, an MBA graduate and Project Manager, he was previously involved with the development of Sports Facilities at the University of Limerick as their Sports Administrator; as Head of Sports at Dublin City University and as Director of Operations at the National Aquatic Centre. He has also worked with a number of National Governing Bodies of Sport.
