NSCDA (Operations) Ltd. hosts the National Senior Athletics Championships at the Morton Stadium in Santry and hosts the National Junior Swimming Championships at the National Aquatic Centre in Abbotstown over the same weekend.

Morton Stadium in Santry was the venue for the National Senior Track & Field Championships on Saturday 10th - Sunday 11th July. It was the first major athletics event since the stadium and its facilities came under the management and control of NSCDA (Operations) Ltd. By general acclaim, the overall event was a great success for Athletics Ireland. The new MONDO FTX Track came in for particularly favourable comment from many of the 400 athletes and their coaches. This surface is the first of its kind in Ireland and is identical to the track being laid in London for the Olympics in 2012. This is a further boost for Irish athletes who are aspiring to compete at the highest international level.

Meanwhile, over at the National Aquatic Centre in Abbotstown, over 350 Swimmers from 56 Irish Clubs and 6 visiting UK Clubs participated in the National Junior Swimming Championships.

The 3 day event was organised as usual by Swim Ireland, with facilities under the management and control of NSCDA (Operations) Ltd staff at the Centre. Once again, the event was proclaimed a great success by the swimmers, their families and their coaches.

From NSCDA's perspective, the significance of the weekend was that 2 National Championships were conducted successfully at two seperate locations whose diverse facilities were under the management and control of one company - namely NSCDA (Operations) Ltd - the wholly owned subsidiary of the National Sports Campus Development Authority.

This in its own right was a notable achievement by all the staff involved, and a further significant operational milestone for the Authority.
